The Charlotte Bobcats and the Dallas Mavericks will both be gunning for a victory on Thursday when they meet at American Airlines Center.BSNblog reports that the Odds makers currently have the Mavericks listed as 13-point favorites versus the Bobcats, while the game's total is sitting at 191½.The Bobcats got behind early and could not recover in their 105-89 loss to the Hornets last time out, as
LeBron James scored 22 points but was resting on the bench when Cleveland regained control in the fourth quarter, and the Cavaliers won their home opener 96-79 over Charlotte on Thursday night to spoil well-traveled coach Larry Brown’s debut with the Bobcats. Daniel Gibson scored 25 points—20 in the first half—and Mo Williams added 17 in his home debut for Cleveland, which put away the Bobca
The Ohio University Bobcats had a cold game against Buffalo tonight. I wasn’t shooting for anyone but me so I opted to shoot what was interesting to me at the time… All of the cold people around me. Hope you all enjoy. Comments/critiques appreciated.
Another assignment for The Post. Today’s meet was lady bobcats vs…… lady bobcats! Swimming is by far the hardest sport I’ve had the pleasure to shoot so far..
These are my shots from the Ohio University girl’s soccer match against Cleveland State. i believe the final score was 2-1 in favor of Cleveland State. I have so many pictures to edit and post it’s ridiculous. Expect tons of uploads this week!
MJ put his stamp on the Bobcats by bringing hall of fame coach Larry Brown in to run the show. I think this move is a good one, but they still aren't a contender (for a title at least). Despite Larry Brown's incredible coaching skills, they are a young expansion squad that can't win a title for at least a couple years. Jordan seems to be ready to make big things happen, but will he sacrifice developing young talent to make this team good now? We saw a little bit of that at last year's draft with the Jason Richardson trade.I'd like him to keep most of the young talent and let them grow. Maybe you trade a player or two, but don't really shake things up. Keep this year's draft pick and try to get a nice low post scorer. Charlotte won 32 games this year and if the East stays terrible they can
So they both needed something. Larry Brown wanted another shot at a coaching job and Michael Jordan can’t live being known as a loser, in any facet. You knew that Larry Brown wouldn’t stay away for too long so the two former North Carolina players got together and put a deal together to make Larry [...]
I suppose it was a matter of time before Larry Brown found a job somewhere - and find one he did; according to the Associated Press and verified by a source familiar with Brown’s situation, Brown has reached an agreement to coach the Charlotte Bobcats; the source, who requested anonymity because no announcement has [...]
The Bobcats have built a strong fan base very quickly and this can be seen in the sale of tickets Charlotte Bobcats basketball. The Charlotte Bobcats became an NBA franchise in 2003. Earlier that same year, the NBA Board of Governors had agreed to give the city of Charlotte their own basketball team. Bernie Bickerstaff [...]
If ever there was a key game for the Indiana Pacers to win in order to realize their quest for a visit to the playoffs, Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats could be considered the one. But there was a slight problem - Jason Richardson. Richardson scored 26 points, leading Charlotte to a narrow, 107-103 [...]
The “Charlotte Observer” reported Wednesday that Charlotte Bobcats center would love to return to the team next season even though he becomes a restricted free agent at the end of the regular season. Okafor is in his fourth season in the Association was taken by Charlotte with the second pick over all in the 2004 NBA [...]
Line of the Night: It was huge night for Carmelo Anthony (6.7). He scored 47, going 19-24 from the field and 6-6 from the line, 11 boards, 3 steals and 3 threes. So, who cares that the Nuggets lost to the Kings dropping them into a tie for the 8th seed in the West. [...]
Even though scoring has been up the last couple of seasons in the Association (Hallelujah!) most times if you shoot 50%(36-72) from the floor for the game, and score 106 points, you probably will walk off the hardwood with a victory. Not if your opponent has three players who record double-doubles (Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur, [...]

Charlotte Bobcats @ Memphis Grizzlies - NBA 2008
The Cavs hosted the Charlotte Bobcats yesterday coming out with a 98-91 victory. LeBron James basketball had 33 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds. The Bobcats rallied in the fourth quarter but their last minute push was not enough to beat Cleveland. Jason Richardson was the high scorer for the Cats with 33 points and 4 rebounds. Wallace and West helped to put the nail in the coffin so to speak last night during the Bobcat push. What this proved was that LeBron James basketball is not the only thing that the Cavs can use to win games in clutch situations. The Cavs’ other star players stepped up to the plate and secured a victory for the team.Team is the key word here. In order for the Cavs to be a great Eastern team, one that can defeat the Pistons, they need to rely more on each o
Tracy McGrady scored a game high 30 points, and the Houston Rockets rallied from a first half deficit Friday night to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats 89-80. The win the Houston’s 21st in a row now gives them sole ownership of the second longest winning streak in the history of the Association. The victory broke their [...]
Este Sábado, dia 15 de Março de 2008, por volta da uma e meia da madrugada, os Charlotte Bobcats visitam os Rockets em Houston, Texas, em mais um jogo da época regular da NBA 2008.
Yesterday at the Charlotte Bobcats practices, the NBA’s GOAT laced em up and schooled some of the younguns on on the Bobcats. The former MVP and current overweight, chain cigar smoker huffed and puffed his way around on the court, check it out:
I doubt that we will see another comeback from Jordan but we can always reminisce. Here is one of my favorite Jordan commercials:
I still get chills from that one. Heres another one:
I wonder how NBA owner Mike would do in this one.
Would you like to buy me a beer? (Donate to the site) This will go a long way in covering the costs of running the site. It is always appreciated!!
By Mike Cranston, The Associated Press CHARLOTTE — Buzz Peterson is leaving coaching to join Michael Jordan.
Peterson resigned Tuesday as head coach at Coastal Carolina to become director of player personnel for the Charlotte Bobcats. Jordan, Peterson’s former college roommate and teammate at North Carolina, is a part-owner of the Bobcats and has the final say on all basketball decisions.
Peterson was 35-25 in two seasons with the Chanticleers, who hired him after he was fired as more…
The Cavaliers are set to play in the Charlotte’s Bobcat Arena tonight at 7:00 ET. This should be an easy victory with the young Bobcats having a record of only 24-43. This will be the last time of the season these two teams will meet. LeBron feels that as long as the offense shoots well and they keep up the strong defense they have been exemplifying all year there should be no problem. Playing smart and not turning the ball over the first half will solidify what should be their ninth win. During the Cavs win streak, LeBron has averaged 31.4 points and 8.9 rebounds while playing in seven out of the past eight wins. James also said that in order to win this game they will need to play with the same intensity that he knows that the Bobcats will bring and not underestimate their players. I can’t wait to see what happens!

The Bobcats present Coach Bernie Bickerstaff will not return as coach next season but will continue as a full-time GM. Bernie did an okay job but I'm sure coaching an expansion team stressed him out. The team should be more active in the trade and free agent market now that he can devote twice as much time to his GM duties. MJ had this to say, "I don't see him distancing himself away," Jordan said. "I feel he's been an important part to getting this franchise to where it is now. It will give me the most pleasure to continue that process until we get to where we have to go." This quote came from the Associated Press. I wish Bernie luck and have confidence in him that he will build a successful franchise around Okafor and others. Also, tonight the NCAA tournament kicks off with Niagara playing Florida A&M at 7:30 Eastern time on ESPN. These two teams have almost identical records so it should be a dog fight, but since I live in Floridia I am routing for Florida A&M!
Although it was nice to see the Timberwolves stick together and find a way to come back from a 20 point deficit to cut it to 8 at halftime, they should never have been in that situation. First of all, they are playing the Charlotte Bobcats. They are respectable, but Minnesota should dominate whether at home or away against this team.Even though this situation should never have come to be, we can now see in a few minutes what kind of heart this team really has. Will Coach Casey actually make some adjustments? Will Mike James and Ricky Davis continue to give KG some help? Will Mark Blount show up in the second half after another great first half? We'll see in a few minutes…http://rss.wolveshoopsblog.blogspot.com/rss/nba/minnesota-timberwolves.xml

Mike recently wrote a letter to Bobcats season ticket holders. Let's see what he had to say.
Jordan: Bobcats Will spend What It Takes To Win (AP)
Charlotte Bobcats part-owner Michael Jordan says he's disappointed with his team's record this season and vows that management will "spend what it takes'' to attract top talent in the offseason.
"As widely reported, we currently 'enjoy' the lowest
