Storage room is such a generic term. It refers to so many different types of storage . When we want a ream of paper we don’t say, can you get me a ream of paper out of the storage room . We ask can you get me a ream of paper for the office supplies closet. Or if you go to your wine storage you don’t say I’m going to the storage room . Instead, you say, I’m going to the wine cellar. Storage room is such an outdated term which is why storage room’s contents are outdated too. When I think of a storage room I see it as a time capsule, a place where we put books and mementos for future purpose. Once a childhood memory goes into a storage room , it stays hidden for a long time. As soon as we use storage room for furniture storage, that furniture is usually never seen again. It has been put into a time capsule for future historians to theorize and classify our era.

Akihabara = Otaku paradise… and now you can take a 4 minute walk from Akihabara for a good night sleep before hitting up the Maid Cafe in the morning. Nice!
For just 4,000 Yen per night you can sleep in a capsule which looks like the size of a coffin. A coffin with a shit load of stuff packed inside so you can feel trapped in a hole. Even though each capsule is small as hell it comes with TV, radio, alarm clock, adjustable lighting. I wonder if I’d fit in there being 190 cm tall. They have a lounge area with internet and have 100 Yen coffee. I’ve been searching for a cheap ass cafe here in Fukuoka with 100 Yen coffee so I’m a little bit jealous of that. So far I’ve found 300+ yen coffee which is ridiculous because I could get 350ml of coffee for 320 Yen or for just 80 Yen more I could enjoy some bomb ass ramen. Seriously, what’s up with that?

In this episode of BONES, the team is going to face their high school memories and question who they were and how it affected them. Based on the Bones promo on Fox, the team is basically making fun of Booth for having been a jock.
Although I love this show, sometimes I do have a problem with the condescending tone that the geeks have when they discuss things other than science. It seems they think that they know more about science, they can apply that to everything else in life. That is why sometimes it’s nice to hear Booth being the voice of reason when he tells them off with one witty remark. I think in some sense, he’s the voice of the common man saying “Hey, we know you’re smart. You don’t have to be a douche about it”

Whilst we would be the first to admit that USB powered mini fans are neither particularly high tech or cutting edge, we couldn’t pass up on briefly posting about this particular USB powered personal fan as, design-wise not only is it quite beautiful but it really appeals to us as an object alone.
What makes this particular USB fan stand out is the fact that it comes in a protective capsule that stores not only the fan itself but also the USB cable. Once the capsule is opened, the fan folds out and can be clipped to the top of your computer monitor or placed on your desk top. Admittedly, hardly ground breaking – but there’s no doubt that it’s been implemented in a decidedly stylish fashion.
There very little else we can add – it’s only a USB fan, after all – but as a design piece we felt compelled to offer a few images here.

Full Metal Jacket is Kubrick’s second war film. Unlike Paths of Glory however, Full Metal Jacket can’t be considered to be a truly anti-war film. Rather it’s a relatively objective portrayal of the Vietnam war and the soliders who fought in it.
The first half of the movie concentrates on basic training, and features a stand out performance from R. Lee Ermey as Gny. Sgt. Hartman. This first half of the story focuses mainly on the characters of Pvt. Joker (who wants to become a combat reporter) and Pvt. Gomer Pile, a slow and fat recruit who repeatedly incurs the wrath of Hartman as well as the other soliders in training.
The film then moves to Vietnam and loses some steam in the process. This makes Full Metal Jacket Kubrick’s most uneven film. While still thought provoking and entertaining, the second half of the film cannot match the greatness of the firs

Kubrick had A Clockwork Orange pulled from UK theatres after a string of violent crimes that were thought to be inspired by the film. Today the film stands up as one of Kubrick’s most ambitious and controversial films.

Paths of Glory is a bleak and sombre war film from early in Kubrick’s career, and set during the First World War. Kirk Douglas stars as Colonel Dax, a french officer who is ordered to send his men on a costly and deadly mission to take Ant Hill at any cost. The mission fails, and the Generals in charge attempt to cover up their mistake with the execution of some of Dax’s innocent soldiers.
Kubrick’s innovative tracking shots of the trenches create some of the films most memorable scenes, and Kubricks usual visual flair is present in the wonderful black and white photography. Kubrick’s future wife also appears briefly at the end of the film as a singer.
One of the greatest anti-war films of all time, Paths of Glory is a must watch for fans of Kubrick and fans of war films alike.

It’s the classic Hammer Horror setup: a young woman, travelling alone in Europe, is invited to stay in a remote castle by a mysterious baroness for sinister, vampire related reasons. The great Peter Cushing - a hammer regular - returns to play a drunked and understanbly paranoid Dr. Van Helsing (no relation to Hugh Jackman).
While it doesn’t measure up to the classic Cushing/Christopher Lee collaborations, Brides of Dracula is an entertaining member of the Hammer stable of films.

One of the most economic ways for backpackers to travel in Japan is to sleep in a capsule hotel. It cost only 4,000 yen which is around US$32. Each individual sleeps in a coffin-like capsule, which contains a bed and a TV. Bathrooms? Share one! After all, all you need is a place to sleep!
This kind of capsule hotels was formally men only. But as it grows more popular, now there are areas open for women only.

I did a series of simulations a while ago for the various divisions in the American and National League. Anyhow, I decided to revisit doing them and see if things would be different enacting 5 scenarios rather than just one to get better results from the data. However, during the winter, the team lost several players including Jose Cruz Jr., J.D. Drew, Eric Gagne, Toby Hall, Kenny Lofton, Julio Lugo, Jayson Werth and the ageless Greg Maddux.In light of losing Greg Maddux, the Dodgers have once again put the focus on the upgrading their pitching, as they acquired Jason Schmidt from the rival Giants. With workhouse Derek Lowe, imposing Brad Penny, Randy Wolf, who’ll on be on the comeback trail, and as well, possibly youngster Chad Bilingsley, the Dodgers have a an impressive starting corps.
