Friday 23, 2008 - 7:30am Rt. 340 near Old White Hill Road. A 21 year old Staunton man fell a sleep at the wheal of his Bronco. A woman was seriously injured in the head on collision near Stuarts Draft.

Saturday was my birthday. Yesterday the Girl Who Drinks and I were involved in a car wreck which totalled her car. After being struck on the back end, her car fishtailed sending us straight in the concrete barrier on the side of the highway where we bounced off, spun around, and crossed the length of the highway to once again smash straight into the opposite side's concrete barrier. The Girl Who Drinks suffered a minor scratch to the foot and some whiplash while I hit my head on the side of the car and had some whiplash which left me with some pain in my back and neck. After a couple of hours in the hospital for x-rays and a CT scan they let me go with some pain relievers and muscle relaxers. August 16 2007 - 100.1 on 64 E bound 10:59 am, Marie E. Lopez-Vega 29, of Waynesboro was fatly injured when her 91 Ford Explore over turned. The accident was caused by when tread separated from a tire. Lopez-Vega then lost control of the SUV, hitting a guard real flipping the Explore throwing Lopez-Vega out of the SUV. Thursday 31, 2007- Kiddsville Road. 8:37 pm Daniel Shane Bryant, 36, of Verona, was driving north when his 1996 Pontiac Grand Am overturned. He was ejected from his car and was pinned underneath, killing him. The car had to be lifted buy a tractor so that rescue cruses could get to Bryant. He was not wearing a seat belt. They say Lane brought a bottle of Grey Goose vodka to the party and unveiled the bottle to the crowd with a flourish. The gathering was described by several attendees as a "kick back of around 30 people." The eyewitnesses, all acquaintances of Setian, say that Garrison then started taking shots of the vodka and offering shots to other partygoers. Several eyewitnesses also said photographs were taken of Garrison consuming alcohol. [TMZ]

After the SUV hit the back of the car it then slammed into the poll which held up stoplights for the intersection. The accident knocked out the stoplights at the intersection for several hours.
