Just a quick update on Connie today. It's a been a full week of activity, but I've managed to finish the little clown which is the last of the little dolls that Connie is making. I still have some little bells to sew on, but you'll see those later. Here's the next step in the dollmaker. I didn't have a cute little tricycle for the bunny and baby doll like Kat used, so I improvised. I had a little bamboo basket, it's about 5" W x 2" H. I gave it coat of paint and lined it with fabric and trim. Don't you think the bunny and baby doll will fit in there nice and snug. You'll see. Following on from my earlier article on little 6-year-old Connie Talbot performing at UK-iTV1's " Britain's Got Talent ", while searching on the internet a few days ago for information on Connie ( pictured Left ), I've recently learned that Connie's little wonderful performance wasn't quite as short-lived as I initially thought it was. Despite having lost the winning title to Paul Potts in the competition, not only did Connie captivate the hearts of millions of viewers across the UK, but she also so-highly impressed Judge Simon Cowell, that he's decided to sign her up with his record label Sony BMG for a huge 7-figure deal ! Simon Cowell supposedly took her into the Sony BMG Recording Sudio last week to begin recording on Connie's near-future recording-release. OK, Here's something a little different, not quite the usual kind of post I would normally write, but on this particular occassion, I have to make an exception. Hi all. I have been lurking here absorbing all of the great info - we had a confirmation in May and a graduation in June, so am just getting back into the sewing room! During the recent 99 cent sales at Hancock, I picked up B5053 and B5047. I used some $1 yard WalMart fabric for the B5053 blouse and this is what I ended up with.

I buy 2x tops and 22 long pants at CJ Banks - the one rtw store where I like the fit, except I find that the bust is always too big if the garment fits around my hips and tummy. I am more of a B cup than a C in patterns, does anyone know what cup size these patterns are drafted for?

Just got my new Sewing Today magazine and among other things, it has two new Connie Crawford patterns that really look good to me. One is a t-shirt in 3 versions of slim, fitted and loose fitting. Another pattern is for capris with fly and pockets. I am excited. When you are a large size like me,(I would be a 3x) and you don't even have a t shirt pattern to start with near your size, I am thrilled. The pants , I have made a muslin of another pattern of hers and they seem to fit better out of the envelope than any other. These new patterns aren't in my store yet. Probably in another week.
