My amateur science practice takes up a lot of my free time. Sure, it doesn't pay anything, and it's really nothing more than looking at certain aspects of human behavior and snarkily quipping at it, but it takes a lot out of a guy. When I'm not debunking, dismissing, deconstructing, or spending time with my family (in that order), I'm usually sleeping. Or, if my copy of Grand Theft Auto IV worked (thanks a lot, Rockstar Games), shooting hookers with rocket launchers. Which is why I was as surprised as anyone to find myself in a rare moment of leisure contemplating sitting in front of the keyboard and typing a short story about my Dungeons & Dragons character.

Another beautiful Christmas Season is over. As you can see I almost forgot how to blog, its been 7 days since my last post. However, nothing like spending time with family. I did my Santa appearance twice, one for my cousin's daughter and one for my godson. Believe or not the one year old godson almost kissed me, and he wasn't scared at all. The 3 year old girl was a bit scared but then she did too warm up to Santa. Unfortunately, I don't have good pictures of my appearance this year. My other godson and my niece, my sister's kids, were sick, so we paid them a visit after Christmas. We were very lucky to have nice no snow weather, as it allowed us to travel from house to house.So what you see on the photos are Bearded Dragons, and no they are not mating. The Daily Rambler has an alternative, called 9Dragons.9Dragons is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) ((Long word huh?)) that is a Japanese port of a Kung-Fu game. Its free to play and takes a while to download. Unfortunately, the installer is just under 1GB and if you are on dialup and reading this, Ignore this post because this will take you years to download. But once you see what is inside of the game, you will forget about how long it took.Size - 7/10The graphics are insane, They are the best i've ever seen. They run great on High Quality systems and Low quality systems. Personally, i run them at medium and get a result of the picture at the top and beside this text. For a while, I was obsessed with the idea of slaying dragons. Perhaps it started when I read Tolkien’s immortal tale of The Hobbit, but it didn’t end there. Whenever low clouds would obscure the tops of the nearby foothills, I’d dream about venturing up there to slay the dragon that surely existed within the fog, in some hard-to-find cave.
But I never did it. I’d do what I needed to do that day in town. I’d work, I’d shop, I’d eat, I’d sleep. By the time I did these things, the dragon seemed an impossible chore.
I wondered if I’d really have my fight-to-the-death with a 30 meter long dragon. A dragon who was mostly green, could obviously fly, and had a small but valuable collection of precious metals and gems. Money is not something dragons care about.
Why I didn’t go off to fight my dragon was always a vexing question for me. After all, he was always there when the clouds came low. I could find him if I but looked.
