I found the New York Times editorials relating to the Annapolis summit disappointing. I read Thomas Friedman twice to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Even after my double-check I’m still left with the impression that he didn’t say much. It can be summed as “Yay, Annapolis” along with an obligatory pessimism, in case the process ends like all other Israeli-Palestinian accords. From someone who’s considered one of the world’s leading columnists, I’d expect something more insightful.The editorial titled “Starting from Annapolis” was even more problematic. Gli Editors non sono fra i miei gruppi preferiti e non lo saranno mai: mi sanno troppo di band costruita a tavolino. Detto questo ci tenevo lo stesso ad andare al concerto ieri sera. In primo luogo perchè suonavano al Piper e quindi per una volta potevo godermi un concerto che non fosse al Circolo (che non sopporto più) e poi perchè comunque ero sicura che i quattro di Birmingham avrebbero fatto una bella prova.
Piccolo problema logistico: non avevo il biglietto, perchè sono sempre indecisa fino all'ultimo e non avevo proprio preso in considerazione la possibilità che IO potessi rimanere senza... e invece!!
Per fortuna dopo aver mobilitato mezza Roma sono riuscita in extremis a trovarne uno tramite Alessio, la mente di Indieforbunnies, che ringrazio ancora.

And to tell you the truth, I've tried to run each and every one of those I found on different lists under WINE but to no avail.But no more. I've successfully installed and can run in Zoundry Blog Editor, from which I post this entry.Here's an install procedure (I use Gentoo, so I presume anyone who doesn't can adapt this to his/her own needs):Install IES4Linux on my machine (it installs WINE as well, so I don't have to).Run an Internet Explorer and try to browse. It's on the small side, has an articulated LCD that can flip out to the left of the camera and swivel 270 degrees, live-view shooting, and its control buttons are laid out a lot like a superzoom or compact camera. The vast majority of buttons are on the right-hand side of the camera and reachable quickly and easily by thumb or forefinger. Like more and more SLRs lately, the grip is short, so your pinky dangles while shooting. Ein zwiespältiges Vergnügen, wie ich finde, doch die Editors dürfen das. Und ich denke gar nicht darüber nach, ob das überhaupt zu denen passt. The holster design has been a staple of camera bags for a long time. Lowepro's Cirrus line is a new take on the holster design. If you're not familiar with the holster-type camera bag, it's based on a triangular shape, tapering toward the bottom, and holds an SLR or SLR-type camera, typically with a small zoom lens. There's not too much you can do to update this idea, but you have to hand it to Lowepro, since they do a great job of modifying simple things and giving them a classy contemporary look.One great example of this is the Cirrus TLZ 25's handle, which carves a cute curve over the top of the bag, while its gray color provides a counterpoint to the bag's otherwise mostly black color scheme. The bag has another splash of gray in the band that sits below the bag's top flap.
