Yesterday I called her mobile and a nurse answered, for starters that is out of order, fine tell the patient they need to turn it off but DO NOT answer it for them !!! Over the weekend while I was working we had an incident where a bank staff (temporary staff) started... {{ To read more and see any missing images visit my blog }}

      Frustration and Rejoicing
I’m feeling so frustrated with my photography. I having been having trouble nailing my focus lately and a lot of shots seem muddy and underexposed. My black and white conversions have been lousy and I’m not happy with the tonal range in my black and white shots. This is a problem because aesthetically I much prefer B&W. I’ve been playing around this morning with the camera set to monocrome and have reached the following conclusions: 1) I am going off full manual and am going to use aperture priority mode for a while so I don’t have to worry about the shutter speed. I’ll let the camera do what I was trying to do - constantly readjust the ss as the kids move from one lighting condition to another. 2) I’m going to stop opening my aperture all the way. With f/1.8 the depth of field is SO shallow that if the kids move even a smidgeon the focus moves from their face to, say, their shirt. I’m not doing fashion photography I’m doing

      Frustration
My muse is playing hide and seek with me these days. Or has it been weeks? Perhaps. I haven’t been exactly blogging about quality posts. Just ranting or rambling on abut things that doesn’t concern me. Well, weddings do concern me except that I’m only the supporting role and why the heck do I even get blue when all I have to do is to delay the groom? Perhaps I feel restricted that I may not be able to even play some games because it’s actually a pity to have a fallout with the bride when it’s just some game that shouldn’t even hurt anyone. Having known the bride for years, the morning pranks or activities is obviously simple. Ask for a huge red packet / ang bao and get it done with. No torturing the groom to go through the process of sour, sweet, bitter or spicy. No asking the groom to sing diabetic sweet songs to serenade the bride. No asking the groom to shout from that basketball court more than 200 metres away to declare loudly “I LOVE <

      Super Mario Bros. Frustration
This video is about the NES Super Mario Bros. hack called Frustration. As the name implies, the game is insanely hard, almost impossible to master. Some guy with a funny accent gives a shot at Frustration and gets owned, big time. He walks you through the first two stages with hilarious comments. You probably won't watch all 23 minutes of it, but even the few first minutes are enough to bring happy tears to your eyes. What a fucked up game!

Changes I would make to the past week include:“Pre-eclampsia: a deceptively boring PBL” as the scenario title.and“Hammersmith and City line – well worth the walk”********Highlights of this past week include:1. Clinical DemonstrationSome medical student: “So, do you have to inform say, your dentist when you go in for exposure prone procedures in case he catches it?”SICKLE CELL patient: “Errr…no I don’t have to disclose my status”Duh. And it’s frickin’ genetics week?!!2. Tescos Express“Wo y li a crb?”…“No I don’t have a club card?”“Ne, wu yu li a brb?”…“Err…”“A brg?”A B-A-G? Is it THAT HARD TO PRONOUNCE?????Okay, so I wasn’t in the mood for the last one. Roll on next week!P.S. I’m not nearly the cynical bastard that this post has made me out to be.

A Caliph's frustration with his emirs
Yes, Bin Laden’s latest audiotape aired on al Jazeera is somewhat unique. Not in its ideological party line or in the Salafi doctrinal roots. That hasn’t changed nor is it expected to. Surely, in a previous speech he inserted some neo Marxist and Trotskyite stuff; but that was part of his “American” rhetoric, and possibly at the request of his Gringo advisers. Today’s audio wasn’t concerned about Berkeley’s approval but was dedicated to whip the chaotic commanders...(read more)

Latino Head of RNC Resigns in Frustration
The Republican Party's highest-ranking Latino official abruptly resigned Friday, marking the latest casualty in the GOP's bitter internal fight over immigration and dealing another setback to President Bush's years-long effort to court Latino voters. The ploy to get the Latino vote evaporated fast, as the latest defector is Mel Martinez and head of the Latino RNC, Martinez is a Cuban-born Senator from Florida.Like his hero McKinley, he alone was the true visionary. Everyone else looked at the political landscape and saw a nation at rough parity. Rove looked at the same thing and saw an emerging Republican majority. The last link I got off Mother Jones also and it puts in perspective of how Karl Rove came to seeing just about whatever Karl Rove seemed to see, Karl's goal was to bring in the Latino vote for the GOP but it did not quite get materialized like a lot of Karl's other wishes that seemed to vanish like vapor.MotherJones Blog: Latino Head of RNC Resigns in FrustrationRove's

The Frustration of a Canadian Conservative
One of the many benefits of being a conservative as opposed to a liberal is that we never have any shame about self-criticizing our own party. Being naturally opinionated, conservatives won’t hesitate to call out one of our own for a little verbal slapping when needed. Where liberals will openly turn on each other out of ambition, the motive from the political right is borne out of keeping the team strong in the fight against the other side. It is from that basis that I write today. You wouldn’t believe how frustrating it is to be even slightly to the political right in Canada. Our current Conservative minority government represents but a reprieve from the seemingly endless reign of the Eastern Canadian dominated Liberal governments. It has become impossible to differentiate between actual news stories and leftwing opinion propaganda segments on our national broadcaster, the C.B.C. Readers will know my opinion of the popular George Stroumboulopoulos-hosted show The Hour and its form

      Todays Frustration 9/24/2007
I keep missing the Big Mouth stocks by 10-25 cents. Today I missed ZINC by 1 penny and picked the top tick in LMC but did not get filled. -Right stocks, right idea but no fills. I need to figure out how to get into these stocks with out getting hurt in a fast crazy market of Big Mouth stocks.-So I assume that LMC would get to 13 and ZINC to 24-25. I am thinking I should then leg in LMC at 12.75 with 200, 12.85 with 400, 12.95 with 600, 13.05 with 800 and 13.15 with 1000 share orders. And do the same with ZINC.-Frustrating game today.

      Frustration Update
No luck on the web editor front, still not able to upload anything. Plus my second printer is kaput. I really wanted to provide a link to the completed Lily wall, and a good start on the Door one, but short of smashing my computer (a colleague used to call it a confuser) against the wall, I'm stumped. It's obviously going to take still longer to see a refurbished Maraya. I'm looking forward to building a much more interesting site, with a lot of reference materials, and hopefully more workshops and more artwork. Fun, fun, fun. Frustrating, frustrating, frustrating.Meantime, I did the last version of the Door (previous post) late last night, I was kind of groggy and forgot the steps. There weren't that many anyway, and most of them are uninteresting:- I drained the colour, then did a tan-ish duotone, then went back to RGB.- I also used the Cloud (or was it Difference Clouds) feature in the Render Filter in low opacity in Overlay (I think). This sort of washed-out quality is not hard

Chaos? Frustration? Overwhelmed? Must be show time again...
Daily Photo 8.08.07 Originally uploaded by chicken widget.Hey, yeah, it is! I'll be at the Midtown Boutique Sidewalk Sales next weekend in front of Cool Cat Gallery. (Sacramento)I'll also be at Handmade Parade in October.Anyway, all the crazyness is making me question something. And that question is "Do I really still need to make jewelry?" I came to this question after a particularly frustrating piece had me nearly banging my head on the table. Not that I actually was. All the head banging would mess up all the tiny beads lined up just so. A brisk walk after this little meltdown got me thinking. Do I actually enjoy creating jewelry any more? The answer came almost instantly, and it wasn't all driven by frustration, "NO." I'd rather be painting, or creating a little plushie. Those things (mostly) calm me down and make me happy. Why not just leave the jewelry making to the people who actually enjoy making the jewelry? The funny thing is, I used to really enjoy making jewelry. My fir

Frustration With Online Yellow Page Directories
After living in the same city for over 35 years I moved last year to be closer to my daughter. Suddenly, I knew where nothing was and found myself at a loss to find even simple things like barbers or an independently owned store to buy a vacuum cleaner. Like any internet geek I turned to the web in general and various yellow pages directories in specific. What I found was tons of listings that had merely chosen the name of my city as a keyword and were actually located hundreds or thousands of miles away. This was not helpful, so I returned to the tried and true method of asking around. Unfortunately, my neighbors don’t seem to share my passion for local economics and thus their answer to almost every such query was either Wal-Mart or Target. Sigh. Back online I go. Recently I found a new Online Yellow Pages. Instead of focusing on the overall number of listings, Radiux spends its energy assuring that the companies listed not only actually exist, but that they are locate

      Money frustration
At last, after the long break, I finally knew that my Ambank NexG card is being activated, although I did not receive anything from Ambank yet, by calling Ambank Customer Care to enquire about my card status. The operator told me that I will be able to top-up my card from now on.This slight progress did not fancy me at all since it will take another unknown length of period to receive my PIN number which enables me to get a online banking PIN and get my PayPal account verified! This is really a frustration for me, I thought everything will be done in the most two weeks time but now, all of them will depend on another party, Pos Malaysia, which I don't a positive perception with.My frustrations went deeper when one of my funds received has been returned to Chris, my Review Column employer. The next money amounting to USD80 from PayPerPost. The worst case scenario will be me having nothing left and start all over again. Who should I blame in this? I think it was me... but wait a second,

      Perseverance and frustration
I have taken the car to work only twice or so since the day I realized that global warming is on the brink of becoming devastatingly abrupt and escalating. The fairly long distance (10 km), the biting cold, the rain, the snow, the strong head winds, the heat etc has been somewhat challenging but not too discouraging. The real challenge has been to remain sane when seeing all the fat asses driving by. How should I handle this frustration that I experience daily? I have a hard time blocking it out. Why are so few converging to a climate friendly behavior? Will the recent torrential rainfalls and heat waves uproot people from their carbon massive lifestyles? If not, what will it take?I hope the Toyota Prius Plugin will hit the market shortly...

Words from a Pink Floyd song rang threw my head - "If you don't eat your meat - you can't have any pudding. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your Meat!" Translated - "If you don't enter a trade - How can you make any money. How can you make any money, if you don't enter the trade!!!!!"-Four Big Mouth stocks and this is how they should have been played. - First TSRA - short on premarket popped at 43.95, stop at 44.40. Quickly after open stop moved down to 43.90 and stopped out (break even). Later at 10:30 go long for a gain.-Second GLW - go short on open 27.10, stop at 27.40. Follow stock down for a nice gain. No Heat.-Third TOT - go short on open 83.05, stop at 83.75. After open moved stop down and get stopped out for a break even trade. Later around 83.05 go long for a half point gain.-Forth CY - go short get stopped for break even. Go long and get stopped for break even. -So you play TO and TSRA with 1000 shares and CY and GLW with 2000 shares. Net in my mind sho

Stuntman: Ignition demo Now Live! Grown men everywhere weep in frustration
There are a few games that with only a mere mentioning can make gamers across the globe cringe. Most are because of just how truly awful they were, games like E.T., Superman, Big Rig and Galleon (it sucked, accept this). But there are also a select few games that make gamers cringe, scowl and openly cry out in pain for another reason. A far more sinister reason. Games like Contra, Ghosts n’ Ghouls, Battletoads, and Stuntman invoke these feelings of sheer dread and despair. Why? Because they’re freaking IMPOSSIBLE! THAT’S WHY! Now, as Major Nelson is more than happy to tell us, the demo for the sequel, Stuntman: Ignition is now available for download over Xbox Live. So, go on. Download it. Let yourself be driven to tears all over again. You all have fun with that. As for myself… I’m staying far, far away. Far away. Far. Frustration & A Contest
Ugh I am so frustrated with paypal. Refer back to this post. I received my 2nd replacement card and guess what? I can’t activate that one either!!! I called them again and they said basically the same thing. I have to request ANOTHER one because in the system it says that the card that I just got is damaged. The lady that I talked to kept apologizing but that’s not good enough. I think something’s up with their system and they need to figure it out. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get 3rd card that I probably won’t get to activate. On to better things. The Pinks & Blues Girls are having a The Body Shop / Vera Bradley Contest! Did I hear The Body Shop? Yep, that’s right. I sponsored the contest with a Coconut Body Butter. This maxed out my chance to win that gorgeous Vera Bradley bag though, lol. So go on over and enter, make sure you thoroughly follow the rules! Good luck! Thanks Audrey, Jane, & Sharon! Contest Plugging: Win a $50 Kangaro

      Hollywood's YouTube frustration grows
Google and its YouTube subsidiary are trying Hollywood's patience. The search engine has made significant progress in recent weeks signing content partnership deals for YouTube. But a growing number of studio executives, irritated by no-shows at meetings and canceled test programs, say they are frustrated with Google's inability to scrub the site of copyright-infringing material. While CEO Eric Schmidt made big news in Las Vegas two months ago when he said the company was very "close to turning" on a system that will streamline the takedown process, when that system actually will be deployed is a mystery.Adding to the agitation, copyright-filtering technology is already in use at smaller video sites such as Guba, Dailymotion.com and Eyespot. Even Microsoft has installed the features for which Hollywood is clambering on its Soapbox site.
