We had a good weekend this past weekend. Busy but good (I'll share more later). Hubby took the kids out camping on Friday night together with K and his kids. It was great because I was able to de-clutter without interruptions. C was also happy that K took their kids camping. Estuve en el Phone Box Pub, el mítico y antiguo pub en la Galería El Patio de Providencia. Harta gente, el programa prometía, dos bandas, una hiphop, y la otra de rock progresivo.Tenía además, una razón adicional, un hijo en cada banda. Felipe, más conocido como Ceaese, cantando y poniendo sus bases, con su primo Ene, con Foche y Tactoh. Y luego Rodrigo, tocando batería con Franco Ferrera Band.Estuvimos con su mamá, babeando y conversando de este par de locos, talentosos y entusiasmados por cada cosa que hacen. Dj Clue…Clue…Clue…Dezert Storm… Storm… Storm… Alright now that I’ve got that out of the way. We all know of this trend and how almost everybody and their mama has a mixtape out. The mixtape game has brought new life to the industry as record sales have went down 33% since 2006. But with the prospect of once again making money (selling 1000 mixtapes for 5-7 a pop is a good grind) comes over-saturation and rushed product. Dont get me wrong i love mixtapes and i think it is what hiphop was built on, doing the damn thing yourself!, the problem is too many people are.
In today’s mixtape market you have these hole in the wall rappers coming out and releasing 20 mixtapes within a month (horrible quality, horrible verses, and horrible organization).
