I've been writing few posts for Herald de Paris. It's not very much related to my ready-to-wear line, but rather shows my personal and subjective views on certain things. Here, here and hereAnd to top it a new video on youtube: here:)
Fulbright & Jaworski has published its annual report on litigation trends, and the news is scary for American businesses. Labor and employment cases remain the most numerous type of case pending in 2008. 47% of U.S. companies surveyed reported being sued in a labor or employment case. When you focus just on the Midwest, the number jumps to 54%.

Proof that politicians are the greatest recyclers of all. Nothing new's been said since Plato."I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends... that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them." Please, America, stop paying attention to these people so they will go away. From The Boston Globe:You may have heard of the Duggar family. They are Arkansan, religious, and incredibly fertile, with 17 kids whose names all begin with the letter "J."Do they deserve to be TV stars? TLC clearly thinks so, having done well enough with a string of Duggar documentaries, including "14 Children and Pregnan
Last week there was a bit of a brouhaha over Google news incorrectly giving the wrong date for a news story. In that particular incident Google news picked up a 6 year old story about United Airlines filing bankruptcy which upset the stock market for that particular stock. I’ve seen things like that happen before [...]
Deep Kumar and Vishal are fed eggs by caretaker Nirmala Devi at the UNICEF-sponsored nutrition rehabilitation center in Saraiya in the impoverished eastern Indian state of Bihar. Half of young Indians are malnourished. In a nation seen as a rising power, combating the problem 'has not been a policy priority . . . for the last 40 years,' a U.N. expert says. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is now nothing more than water under the bridge, now that the service pack was released to manufacturing on February 4, 2008, shipping to general users on March 18. At the same time while Windows XP SP3 is not even out the door, with Microsoft having just delivered XP SP3 release Candidate 2 re1fresh Build 5508. But even XP SP3 is old news. And in this context, it is
Since speculation about which of our favorite, classic perfumes have been reformulated has been a rather hot topic in the last couple of years among perfume lovers, I decided to include an excerpt from a 2006 issue of New Scientist I found this week for today’s Smelly Facts post. We might not yet be 100% sure about most of the fragrances we are suspecting to be reformulated, but slowly, we are
Some of you may have been wondering why I have not mentioned the fact the the whole mortgage mess, etc. has all but destroyed the fund, causing them to freeze withdrawals until the "run on the fund"...

The New York Times Magazine looks at Barack Obama and foreign policy. Here’s the key portion:
The United States has had only one foreign policy and one national-security strategy since the transforming events of 9/11 — and this set of doctrines has been shaped by the very distinctive worldview of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and the men and women around them. The great project of the foreign-policy world in the last few years has been to think through a “post-post-9/11 strategy,” in the words of the Princeton Project on National Security, a study that brought together many of the foreign-policy thinkers of both parties. Such a strategy, the experts concluded, must, like “a Swiss Army knife,” offer different tools for different situations, rather than only the sharp edge of a blade; must pay close attention to “how others may perceive us differently than we perceive ourselves, no matter how good our intentions”; must recognize that other nations may legitimately c
The Osheaga weekend is over, the dust has cleared, and there were no cheese fights. I was so lucky to have scored free tickets for the Saturday show, my day of choice of the 2 (Thanks again Nancy). We got there during the start of The Editors set, they were my favorites of the day. I love their energy and their raw power. Next up, was the The Veils. The Veils, according to my Osheaga itinerary are from Auckland, New Zealand. These guys held their own, and are worthy of checking out. “Nux Vomica” is the name of their new album, and Brooklyn Vegan has a lot more to say about them here.
Back over to the main stage to check out Blonde Redhead. I love Kazu Makino’s voice, she has such a different style that works so well with the rest of the band. Their setlist was mostly tracks from their new album “23″, my only complaint was that Kazu’s perfectly soft voice was a little low in the mix, and the guitar was too high (see common problem for sound engineers)
Back in December, The Times Union ran a story on the erratic heartbeat of the literary canon. From "Siena opens new chapter in Great Books debate":The literary canon may not be dead across America's college campuses, but its heartbeat has grown weak and erratic. That's the diagnosis of the Siena Research Institute, which has been putting its finger on the pulse of the so-called Great Books debate since 1985.Siena's third and latest national survey shows a steady erosion when it comes to the standing of the classics, according to 4,125 freshmen and 215 faculty who filled out questionnaires. It uses as a baseline a list of 30 Great Books selected in 1984 by William Bennett, then chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities under President Ronald Reagan. Bennett created the list with input from his friends, including the conservative columnist George Will.Siena repeated its survey on the 30 classic titles in 1997 and 2006."In every case, the expectations by faculty what they bel
I don’t claim to understand the mainstream media, but apparently b!x is a little cranky that tomorrow Meet the Press won’t have a bunch of Democrats, but rather John McCain.
Democrats are old news. Their gig was last Tuesday. McCain is new news… he just announced he’s forming an exploratory committee to run for president.
Seriously I dun really understand why ppl are still interested in her news?...Frankly speaking, i'm more interested in the

and it brought to mind just what is out there and that we all of us need to remind everyone that there were and are things in Iraq that make it critical to our well being. Its time to remind the asylum that we the people have not forgotten 9-11-01 or that we expect them to act like what the hell they are World leaders and not a bunch of whiney assed weasels that have no value in this world other than taking up my precious oxygen. Both side of the aisle have forgotten we are fighting a GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR. They overall voted to send our fighting men and women into harms way to fight this war. Yet they all act like it was someone else. Lets look at some of the articles from the last few years that should remind us to stand up
and tell these moronic souls they work for us. They aren't giving us our money's worth either.

TXN closed up 0.7% in regular trading, and rose a further 1.8% in after-hours trading, after reporting 2% increase in profits and 4% in sales from a year ago. Profits were helped by tax credits, will be interesting to see whether those after-hours gains hold tomorrow. I will be watching financials to determine trading direction in the coming days; most sectors are showing weakness except
