      Quick Look at Jon Lester
With Jon Lester's very impressive year so far, I decided to take a look at his numbers and see what is making him so successful; after all, this is a player who has an era this year (3.20) that is lower then his career minor league era (3.33). So what gives?Lester's whip is 47th best in baseball while his era is 18th. So a bit of luck has definitely helped him. Also, he has really gotten his wal

      A quick look at STI
It is notable that despite Dow Jones Index recording a new low for 2008, STI is still trading above the 7 month low. The gap from 2832 to 2878 may act as a technical support for the near term and we observed that the RSI is showing a bullish divergence. There may be overhead resistance from the 20-day moving average. DISCLAIMER: This is not an inducement to buy or sell. You should do your own an

This means you can watch videos, listen to songs, view presentations and flick through the pages of a PDF document without even opening it. Here are a few ways to enhance Quick Look.Index SheetIf you select multiple files before activating Quick Look, you'll just be shown a preview of the first file. There are buttons to flick forward and backward through the different previews, but much more interesting is the Index Sheet button. Clicking this is just like using exposé, only with the previews rather than windows. The previews will shrink down to show you them all in a grid. Clicking on one of the thumbnails

A Quick Look at Loudoun County Rental Statistics
Here is a quick look at some statistics we pulled out of the multiple listing service for Loudoun County rental activity.  Unlike home sales, rental statistics are less comprehensive in the multiple listing service because many more people chose not to use a real estate professional to rent their properties and a lot of management companies do submit rental information to the MLS. That being said, there is still enough data to identify trends and other observations regarding the rental market here in Loudoun County.  It also allows us to offer some conclusions as the cause of trends in our marketplace. Here is a chart showing the increase in rental rates for 1 and 3 year periods for the different types of properties in the eastern part of Loudoun County which includes Ashburn, Sterling, Leesburg and South Riding. Rental Rates - Eastern Loudoun County September 1 - November 15   Rates         vs. 2006

If you installed OS X 10.5 (Leopard) as an ‘update’ (ie. all of your Tiger apps remained installed) and had previously customized your Finder toolbar, you may be missing out on a very neat new feature, Quick Look. This overview will show you how to add it to your toolbar (if needed) and explain how to use it. If the Quick Look icon isn’t a part of your toolbar yet, just right-click (ctrl-click) somewhere in the toolbar background and select Customize Toolbar. Drag the Quick Look icon to your toolbar and click Done. click to enlarge Now select a folder, and click the Quick Look button. A window will appear displaying the folder name, the number of files it contains, the total size of all the files combined, and the time it was last modified. Hint: instead of clicking the Quick Look button, you can also just press the space bar. Yep, that’s the keyboard shortcut for Quick Look. Absolutely. ViaMichelin x970 quick look: "The Michelin Red Book is Europe’s premier restaurant guide. Yes, it’s sponsored by a tire company but its rankings are so highly regarded that an eatery can make or break its reputation based on a star from the guide’s reviewers. It’s big overseas, but not so big over here, which is why ViaMichelin, a GPS device maker and mapping service, has a hard road ahead of them. The X970 is a twee GPS device that comes with a power cable and base with built-in speaker. It’s fairly basic — program in your destination and go. However, it also includes content from the Michelin Green Guide of famous points of interest and it works with ViaMichelin.com to allow you to drag and drop restaurants and other destinations onto your unit. A Quick Look At Thomas Rosicky’s Season
Czech midfield playmaker Thomas Rosicky had a clause in his Dortmund contract enabling him to leave the club for around £6.8m.  Early in the summer of 2006 Arsene Wenger took full advantage of this clause bringing the Czech playmaker to the Emirates stadium before the world cup kicked off. Rosicky, known for his fantastic work-rate and his eye for a pass, has an impressive record to his name already.  He has won 3 Czech league titles, was the youngest player to win the Czech player of the year award, helped Dortmund to the Bundesliga title, and most recently, took over the captaincy of the Czech national team following the retirement of Pavel Nedved.  In all, Rosicky played nearly 150 Bundesliga games for Dortmund and has played over 30 games in the Champions League and UEFA Cup including a UEFA Cup final.  Press reports linked him with big money transfers to Real MadridAtlético Madrid, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.  Rosicky stated he wou

A Quick Look At Beautiful Native American Bead Jewelry
With Thanksgiving coming up I began thinking about Native American Indians and how they could really be considered the first American bead fanatics! This is a no-brainer to lovers of Southwest art and design and people who live near Native American populations and reservations. Here on the East Coast we tend to forget how important beads were in the American Indian culture and how amazingly intricate and beautiful much of their beadwork is. There are plenty of amazing examples of Native American bead jewerly to be found. One of the best places I discovered is E-pueblo.com’s Native American Jewelry area, a store based in the Southwest that specializes in Native American art and jewelry and has an amazing collection of authentic pieces by local artisans. To the right is one of the many pieces on the site by Ray Lovato. It’s made out of handcut natural turquoise beads. It’s absolutely beautiful, but I can’t imagine how much work it is to actually cut ea
