For the second volume of the “Iwata Asks” Wii Sports Interviews (And if you didn’t, read the first volume of the Wii Sports Interview), the developers talk about their experiences developing Wii Sports Bowling and Boxing, two sports that were added later on when they realized that baseball was not so popular in every part of the world, so they needed more sports.
They talk a lot about their experiences seeing people play the games for the first time and about how accessible the game was, particularly once they showed it off at E3. It’s great to hear developers talking about how the focus of their development was not on sales, but rather on making a game that would be fun for their own family to play! They then get into each individual sports game and give tips & comments on them.
