Being that this is a 'tech blog' why would I talk about baby furniture? Well, I am a new dad now and so when it came time to look for baby cribs I wanted to make sure that I found something functional yet fairly techie as well.What we ended up with was a crib that can convert from a baby to a toddler crib and then to a bed. Not really super high tech as far as the tech world goes but it is a pretty great advancement in baby furniture technology.Of course I am going from the stance that when I was a baby we had the kind of crib that the sides dropped down and the slats were wide apart so any advancements are good one, however I survived and am here today so it didn't hurt me either.

Apparently this high tech football (LCD displays are very high tech, don’t you know) will assist you in becoming a superstar player. Frankly we doubt that but, if you are wishing to follow in Beckham’s footsteps this Virtual Soccer Ball has at least one positive side – namely that it doesn’t come with an irritating, self-obsessed wife and, in anyone’s book, that has to be a considerable bonus.
As far as improving your skills are concerned, however, the scope of this Virtual Soccer Ball (quite what’s virtual about it is beyond us, but hey) is somewhat limited as it is merely capable of counting how long you can successfully juggle the ball, with the LCD display providing the count. It’s not going to teach you how to dribble, how to successfully tackle your mark, how to take a corner, or anything else for that matter.
Then again, it’s not going to spend every hour of every day pouting in front of cameras and calling itself ‘fabulous’ either.

Aside from the Library Search Project, one of Google’s “do no evil” educational endeavor is widely gaining popularity - its FREE assistance in modernizing the email systems of schools in the form of Google’s Apps for Education.
Google’s Apps for Education allows colleges to dump their often-antiquated e-mail systems and replace them with Gmail, Google’s popular e-mail service. But unlike standard Gmail accounts, schools can maintain their “.edu” addresses, have students log in from school Web sites, brand the system with their own logos and block advertisements that typically appear in standard Gmail accounts.
Among the first few schools to benefit from Google Apps include Hope College in Holland, Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. This education program also includes access to Google docs and spreadsheet, Google calendar, and iGoogle.
