So far the dogs are entirely indifferent. When they see me head into the workout area of the basement, each one finds his/her favorite spot and takes a nap. Dax's favorite is usually on top of one of the others. The mashed ones don't appreciate it, but Dax is still convinced she's the smallest dog in the house. It's impossible to convince her that what was true when she was nine weeks old is no longer valid. She's the baby, gotta love her!

El spinning es un deporte relativamente nuevo (existe desde 1989) que, como muchas de las novedades en cuestión de fitness, se inventó en California.
Es un ejercicio aeróbico que se realiza sobre una bicicleta estática especial. Hoy en día muchos gimnasios ofrecen clases de spinning, así que seguro que tienes a mano algún sitio donde probar este deporte.
Las clases son en grupo, realizadas en una sala al ritmo de la música. El instructor va marcando las pautas de la sesión, indicando a los alumnos que bajen o suban la intensidad. Normalmente las instrucciones suelen tener la forma de: “nos acercamos a una montaña, ¡ánimo y a pedalear fuerte!”, y cosas así, que sirvan para visualizar un recorrido en el exterior.
Durante la clase la intensidad va cambiando, y se alternan momentos de máxima velocidad y la tensión de la bici más blanda, y otros más lentos y con la tensión más dura, en los que hay que levantar el trasero del sillín para pedalear.
