Trade Alert on AVP - Closed
2008-05-06 09:28:00
Guess it is not a wise decision to put on this trade after all. AVP announced a dividend of $0.2 and set its ex-dividend date on May 13, 2008. Even though morning the broader markets action are bearish, AVP is holding up very well. I have exited this position base on the following reasons:Position not moving in my direction, which is down.Dividend news seems to be holding AVP up and it is showing

Bottom Reversal - Supply After Down MoveAs a market falls, at some point the 'herd' will panic and sell. If professional money decides to buy into this selling because the price levels now look attractive to them, this action will create high volume on a down bar.The news will be 'bad'.If the next bar is up on a wide spread closing on the highs this has the hall mark of a bottom reversal and a sig

Trade Alert on AVP
2008-05-02 21:53:00
Here's an update on our position, AVP, that was opened on May 1, 2008. On Thursday, AVP continued lower after a short position was initiated. Thursday close was lower than the previous day, which was good for the short position. However, Friday's action reversed and closed above Thursday's high. It is not good for this position. If this is really a trend reversal, we will let the stop do its work

VSA Indicator - No Demand Bar
2008-04-29 07:34:00
This is a ER2 chart captured in 12 December 2007. After ER2 made a NDB (No Demand Bar) as shown by the white cursor, the price seemed to be capped from moving higher. The next couple of bars were made with low volume indicating weakness. Eventually on the fifth bar after NBD, ER2 tanked! Such is the power of TradeGuider VSA software, which helps one to capture big profits!
